CLEANING THE EXTERIOR

Wash the vehicle thoroughly.
After washing, polish the exterior finish using a suitable care product or wax.
Clean the acrylic glass windows with a specialised cleaner, since normal glass cleaners can make the material porous and brittle.
The sealing along windows and doors can be treated and kept flexible through the use of a standard talcum powder or glycerine, or through the use of silicone spray.
Afterwards, check the vehicle for any signs of corrosion or damage to the paintwork. Also check the condition of the underbody. Any damages must be repaired immediately.

Vacuum all carpets and upholsteries and, if possible, store them in a dry place outside of the vehicle.
PVC flooring and smooth surfaces can be cleaned using warm, soapy water.
After cleaning, the refrigerator, furniture flaps and doors should remain slightly open in order to support air circulation.
During the winter break, the interior should be well-ventilated. If the car is parked in a closed room/garage, then the skylight can remain open. Otherwise, if the weather is dry, ventilate the interior of your vehicle for an hour every four to six weeks.

To ensure proper air circulation, do not cover the vehicle with a tarpaulin.
Position the vehicle horizontally.
Disconnect the electric power supply.
Open the ELASI vent on the heater and open and drain the boiler.
The gas cylinder should be shut and the mains supply should be disconnected. In addition, the cover flap must be put on.
If the vehicle has a supply battery, then this can be removed and stored in a frost-free location. It is extremely important that the battery is completely charged prior to doing this.
The battery for the interior (living area) should be recharged every 2-3 weeks.
If there is a radio operating panel, please remove this.
It is important that the water system be cleaned: The water system, including the toilet’s rinsing system, should be cleaned using agents available in a camping specialist store. The system should be disinfected and completely emptied. This way, the lines will not freeze and no damage will occur to the tanks.
Remove the waste plug from the fresh water tank and open the water line’s drain valve.

Place the hand shower to the top in shower mode. Open all faucets and adjust these to the middle setting, between warm and cold.
If the system is entirely free of water, then you can turn off the water pump.
The trailer hitch should be covered and the joints of the brake linkage should be properly greased.
In order to relieve the burden on the wheels, the vehicle should be jacked up, if possible. If this is not possible, then the tyres and axles must be relieved through the complete winding down of the supports and through the increase of the air pressure by 0.5 bar (approx. 7.25 psi).
